Working visa in Turkey

A work visa in Turkey is a document that allows foreign nationals to legally work in the country. The process of applying for a work visa can be complicated, so it is important to familiarize yourself with the main features:

• Once the candidate receives a job offer from a Turkish company, the Turkish Ministry of Labor will grant the permit. The applicant must register on the official website of the consular section of the Turkish Embassy.

• The amount of government fees depends on the validity period of the work permit certificate. For example, for a period of 1 year you have to pay 216 dollars, for 5 years - 1078 dollars.

• It is also possible to get an indefinite visa for work. For example, Turquoise Card (Turkuaz Kart). The Turquoise Card is issued to the following categories of applicants: highly qualified specialists, investors, businessmen, scientists, athletes and artists.

• Foreigners can bring their family members to Turkey. Usually for this purpose, the applicant must provide additional documents such as marriage and birth certificates of children.
