Upper Duden waterfall

In the city and province of Antalya you can admire many beautiful waterfalls. One of the most famous in the whole world is the Duden waterfalls. The cascade of waterfalls is formed by the Düden River. It is one of the most important rivers in the Mediterranean region, although its length is only 15 km.

The water in the river comes from springs running underground. But the largest and most famous of them are the Upper and Lower Duden waterfalls. It is a dazzlingly beautiful and amazing natural spectacle that will leave no one indifferent.

The upper one is also known as the Alexander the Great Falls. It is located within the National Park. A great fully landscaped place for an amazing walk. There is a fee to enter the park. There are resting places, free toilets, cafes and small tourist stores. Admire this magnificent natural creation! There are several comfortable viewing platforms with benches around the waterfall. There is a small cave on the territory of the park, which you can enter (be careful: it is wet and slippery, but there are special handrails for descent) and come out to the most spectacular point of the route. Flowing out of the lake, the waters of the Duden River go underground. And only at the Mediterranean Sea they burst out with the beautiful Lower Duden waterfall, which falls from a height of 40 meters directly into the sea.
