What does the investor pay for besides the apartment in Turkey ?

Many people think that buying real estate in Turkey is just paying for the cost of housing. But in fact, the investment includes additional costs, about which it is better to know in advance. Let's find out what expenses await the buyer.

Taxes and state duties

When buying an apartment or villa, a tapu (title) is issued - for it you pay 4% of the cadastral value. The good news is that this amount is usually lower than the market price.

Registration of documents

You will have to pay for notary services - translation of documents, certification of signatures (from 100 to 300 €). And also obligatory services of an interpreter at the signing of the contract (about 50-150 €).

Residence permit and insurance

If you intend to live in Turkey permanently, you will need health insurance (from 100 € per year) and registration of residence permit (state duty plus related costs - 150-300 €).

If you rent out your home

Rental tax - from 15% to 40% of income.

If you do not want to search for tenants yourself, you will have to pay for the services of a management company.
